Fashion Trends: PE 2013 - Textures.

This series dedicated to SS 2013 is concluding with two posts about textures and fabrics.

First of all, lots of folds. Big and stiff rouches that give a catching detail. And still all is in a full-colour palette, which I already described in previous posts (Parte I and Parte II). As usual, it is quiet difficult to divide in strict categories all the proposals on catwalks, as it is common that many trends are combined together.

Innanzitutto, i drappeggi.

Next element is the typical, summer fabbric: soft, light, helpful against hot days but meanwhile that gives a touch of lightness and charm. It can be chiffon, ruffled silk, cotton or linoleum, the truth is that in summer you don't look for heavy and stiff fabrics, but comfortable and thin.
The dress I like most id Byblos's, because it includes all these aspects and also it reminds the Ancient Roman style.

And here's a trend that is spreading more and more: letaher is back, used both as main fabric of a cloth and a detail of its. Actually I don't really like this trend, but we'll see it also next Fall/Winter season (and to me this material is more appropriate in a cold season, indeed).
