Novità: Lezioni di cucito.
The end of 2014 brought me a nice news, it's been a while since I had started to think about it, and I did at last: I took a Sewing class. You'll find all my creations on next Fashion pills series' posts, but let me tell you that I really enjoyed this new experience.
La fine del 2014 ha portato una piccola novità, era da tanto che volevo farlo e finalmente mi sono decisa: mi sono iscritta ad un Corso di taglio e cucito. Nei prossimi post della rubrica Fashion pills mostrerò man mano tutte le mie creazioni di questi mesi, ma posso già dire di essere rimasta molto soddisfatta.
The first part of the program is about styles' study and drawing three different categories of clothes: skirts, pants and dresses. Then during the second part, the teacher let us choose our favourite style for each category and we actually tailored it.
Speaking about my choices, I try to take advantage of teacher's help and I realized two skirts, a pair of pants and two dresses (which I'm about to finish during the very last lessons left). Thanks Paola for being so patient and for giving me such wise advices!
I must say that this course has been really interesting. Now, every time I go shopping I look at clothes differently: I watch the design and stitching, and still fabric's choice and little details.
I've learned that tailoring a good-quality piece takes time and effort, the more you want a fine and well-refined itam, the more you'll spend time on it. But when it's done you feel so satisfied about the final result!

Il corso prevede
lo studio e il disegno dei cartamodelli, in particolare di tre tipologie
di capi: gonne, pantaloni e abiti. Per ciascuna categoria l'insegnante
ci ha fatto scegliere un modello che ci piacesse e lo abbiamo imbastito e
confezionato.
Nel mio caso, ho cercato di sfruttare al meglio l'occasione di avere un'esperta a disposizione che chiarisse tutti i dubbi, e ho realizzato due gonne, un paio di pantaloni e due abiti (che sto finendo ora con la conclusione delle lezioni). Grazie Paola per i tuoi preziosi consigli e per la tua pazienza!!

Devo dire che il corso è stato davvero molto interessante. Ora ogni volta che entro in un negozio guardo gli abiti in modo diverso: osservo le cuciture e il modo in cui sono state apportate sul vestito, e poi ancora i tessuti e le rifiniture. Ho capito quanto piccoli dettagli, apparentemente insignificanti, in realtà facciano la differenza sulla bellezza e la qualità di un capo.
Ho capito che confezionare (bene) un capo necessita di parecchio tempo, specialmente se si vogliono curare i dettagli e ottenere un risultato perfetto, ma alla fine dell'opera si prova tanta soddisfazione nell'aver realizzato qualcosa di unico!
