The favourite item for this month is actually a big return for me, I had bought it some years ago and never found it again. I'm talking about gel shoe pads, and more precisely those that are rounded-shaped and quite small, they are a very handy product.
Il preferito di questo mese è stata una piacevole riscoperta, un oggetto che avevo acquistato qualche anno fa ma che successivamente non ero più riuscita a ritrovare. Sto parlando dei cuscinetti in silicone da mettere dentro le scarpe. In particolare, intendo quelli di forma circolare piccolini, sono davvero dei tuttofare!
Why are they a big return? Because I had bought them some years ago at Essence's (a low-cost makeup brand), but at present they are discontinued. And then, what a surprise: I found them in a supermarket by chance a couple of days ago, made by Class (this is the brand's name, but to be honest I had never heard it before). Well, when I spotted them, I grabbed like 6 of them, just to be sure I won't need to buy them again for a long time. They cost me about 3 euros each.
Perchè sono una riscoperta? Perchè qualche anno fa li avevo acquistato della marca "Essence", un brand cosmatico low-cost, ma in Italia non sono più venduti. Poi, la svolta: una decina di giorni fa li ho ritrovati in un ipermercato della marca Class (che sinceramente non conoscevo). Inutile dire che ne ho acquistate 6 confezioni al costo di circa 3 euro l'una per paura di non ritrovarle nuovamente.
Despite other gel pads for soles and
heels (these are great too to avoid sore feet), these little ones are
better for two reasons:

thanks to their size they are very adaptable in many position in the
shoe: heel, bunion, toes and so on. I use them to protect the back of
heels with flats, but as I said I'm pretty sure you can use them in
various positions.
- They don't vary
shoes' fit, while bigger gel pads turn out to reduce it (and sometimes
shoes get just to tight to be comfortable or even wearable!).Diversamente dai suoi cugini per i talloni e per la pianta del piede (anche questi molto utili per i tacchi alti), questi piccoolini hanno due vantaggi:
- Sono volutamente versatili e posizionabili in qualsiasi zona della scarpa: tallone, alluce valgo, per le dita dei piedi. Io li uso sul tallone per le scarpe basse, ma credo siano adattabili a molte più situazioni e molti più piedi.
- Non vanno a modificare la calzata della scarpa, mentre generalmente con dei cuscinetti più grandi la calzata viene ridotta (anche drasticamente, a tal punto da non poterli utilizzare).
So, I simply adore them. Favourite of the month!
