Esercizi di stile: nero e cammello.

It took a while, but winter has come at last. During cold season it's funny playing with fabrics and colours in the closet, and that's beacause you actually wear more type of clothes in winter than summer to keep yourself warm.

As I wrote in other posts before, I believe in good "investments" in clothes only for few items, and one of these is a good outwear. I don't mean it has to be expensive or made by a famous designer, you have to look for good quality, both in materials and tailoring. Usually you pay for good quality, and that's ok, what really matters is to avoid to spend money when it's not worth.
My investment-outwear is a camel coat, and it keeps me warm more that many parkas or down jackets. When I wear it with a huge black scarf, it does its best: I love these two colours that match and contrast together at the same time.

Actually not only do I match these two colours with my coat, but I enjoy wear them quite often with many items from my closet. Here's some other examples to give it a try:
- a camel dress with black cardigan, tights and shoes
- a black skirt or a black pair of pants with a thin camel pullover
- black t-shirt and pants with a camel cardigan

In addition to black and camel, you can match a third colour: nude or bold and bright. If you choose the bright option, I would go for a deep, darker shade, such as burgundy, bottle-green or navy. In this case you should not make a mistake, in fact matching many colours together is not always that simple.
Matching black and camel alone, to me, is a great choice and doesn't need any more optional. Most of all, balck and camel are timeless colours, they will be your secret weapons at your disposal season after season.
